Setting up your profile

Getting Started · Students & Scholars · Updated

A complete profile directly affects how quickly you're matched with evaluation projects and how often you're considered for new opportunities.

Step by step

  • Upload your CV PDF format only, text-based (not a scanned image), 1-2 pages, under 2 MB. The system will parse your CV to pre-fill profile fields.
  • Complete required fields Full name, email, phone number, city, country, and LinkedIn profile (or explicitly opt out).
  • Enrich your profile Add role summaries (3-5 bullet points per role), 2-4 representative projects, your skills and technical stack, and your availability including timezone and weekly capacity.

Tips

  • Profile completeness directly affects how often you're shown to project leads and how fast your application is reviewed.
  • Keep your availability and preferred hours up to date — outdated availability may deprioritise you for new projects.
  • Use specific, measurable descriptions. "Evaluated 500+ RLHF responses across legal and financial domains" is better than "AI evaluation experience."

Frequently asked questions

My CV is in Word format. Can I upload it?

No. Only PDF files are accepted. Convert your Word document to PDF before uploading. Make sure the PDF contains selectable text (not a scanned image).

The CV parser didn't fill in my fields correctly. Can I fix it?

Yes. The parsed fields are fully editable. Review each field after upload and correct any inaccuracies manually.

Which fields are required vs. optional?

Full name, email, phone number, city, country, and LinkedIn (or explicit opt-out) are required. Role summaries, projects, skills, and availability are optional but strongly recommended, as they directly affect how often you're matched with projects.

How does profile completeness affect my chances of being matched?

Project leads see a ranked list of candidates. Profiles with more detail, specific skills, and up-to-date availability are ranked higher and reviewed faster. An incomplete profile may not surface at all for some opportunities.

Can I update my profile after I've already applied to a project?

Yes. Your profile is a living document. Updates are reflected immediately and will apply to any future applications or project matching. However, updates won't retroactively change a decision already made on a past application.

Do I have to link my LinkedIn profile?

You can explicitly opt out of providing a LinkedIn URL. However, having a LinkedIn profile linked adds credibility and may improve your ranking in candidate searches.

What if I don't have relevant work experience yet?

Focus on your education, coursework, research projects, and any relevant skills. Academic projects and thesis work are valuable, especially for domain-specific evaluation roles.

Can I have multiple CVs for different types of roles?

Currently, you can only upload one CV at a time. You can replace it at any point. Tailor your single CV to highlight the skills most relevant to the types of projects you want to work on.
