Sovrano AI processes all payments through Deel, a regulated global payroll platform. You'll set up your Deel account as part of the onboarding process.

Setup steps

  • Accept the Deel invitation You'll receive an invitation email from Deel after accepting your first contract.
  • Create your Deel account Use your personal email to create the account.
  • Complete identity verification KYC verification typically requires a government-issued ID.
  • Add your bank details Enter your bank account information for receiving payments.
  • Enable two-factor authentication This is required for all Deel accounts.

Important notes

  • All payments are processed in EUR. If your bank account is in a different currency, Deel handles the conversion.
  • You must use your own bank account — you cannot use someone else's.
  • First payouts may have a short processing hold as part of Deel's standard verification.

Is Deel available in my country?

Deel supports contractors in 150+ countries. If you encounter issues during setup, check Deel's supported countries list or contact hello@sovrano.ai for assistance.

My identity verification (KYC) keeps failing. What should I do?

Make sure you're using a valid, non-expired government-issued ID. The photo must be clear and all text legible. If it continues to fail, contact Deel support directly through your Deel dashboard — they have a dedicated KYC team.

Can I change my bank account details after setup?

Yes. Log into your Deel account, go to payment settings, and update your bank details. Changes may take a few days to verify. Make sure to update before the next payout cycle to avoid delays.

Can I receive payments in a currency other than EUR?

Payments are processed in EUR. If your bank account is in a different currency, Deel automatically converts the amount. The exchange rate applied is Deel's rate at the time of processing. You can also set up a EUR-denominated account to avoid conversion fees.

How do I contact Deel support?

Log into your Deel account and use the in-app chat or help center. For issues related to your Sovrano AI contract specifically, contact hello@sovrano.ai instead.

I didn't receive the Deel invitation email. What should I do?

Check your spam folder. The invitation comes from Deel, not Sovrano AI, so it may be filtered differently. If you still can't find it, contact hello@sovrano.ai with your account email and they can resend the invitation.

Can I use a business bank account instead of a personal one?

Yes, as long as the account is in your name. You cannot use an account belonging to another person or entity.

Do I need to set up Deel before I start working?

You can begin working before Deel is fully set up, but payments cannot be processed until your Deel account is verified and your bank details are confirmed. Set it up as soon as possible to avoid payment delays.
