Keep your Deel profile accurate. Address, phone, email, and bank details all matter for getting paid and for tax compliance.
What you can update yourself
- Address — Settings → Personal Details. Updates take effect immediately. If you move countries, also update your tax residency.
- Phone number — Same screen. Used for SMS-based 2FA and identity confirmation, so keep it current.
- Email address — Settings → Login & Security. You'll need to confirm the new email by clicking a link Deel sends you. The link expires in one hour.
- Bank account / withdrawal method — Withdrawals section. New methods may go through "Additional Screening" the first time.
What requires Deel support
Some changes need manual review by Deel because they affect compliance:
- Legal name change (e.g. after marriage) — Upload supporting documentation through Deel's chat or settings.
- Date of birth correction — Required for identity verification consistency.
- Country of residence change — May require a new tax form, new contract, and re-verification.
- Account type switch (individual ↔ entity) — You can initiate from settings, but it goes through a review.
