Setting up Deel for payouts

All payments are processed through Deel. You'll receive an invitation to create your Deel account after you're accepted onto your first project.

Steps

  • Accept the Deel invitation Check your inbox for the invitation email from Deel.
  • Complete your profile Fill in your personal details, tax information, and bank account or withdrawal method.
  • Verify your identity Complete identity verification if prompted.

Withdrawal methods

Deel supports bank transfer, PayPal, Wise, Payoneer, and other methods depending on your country. Choose the one that works best for you during setup.

Frequently asked questions

I didn't receive the Deel invitation email. What should I do?

Check your spam folder. If you still don't see it, contact payroll@sovrano.ai and we'll resend it.

Can I change my withdrawal method later?

Yes. You can update your withdrawal method in Deel at any time. Changes take effect on the next payout cycle.

Is Deel available in my country?

Deel operates in 160+ countries. See Where Deel works (and where it doesn't) for the current unsupported list. If you cannot complete signup, contact payroll@sovrano.ai with your country of residence.

How long does identity verification take?

Most contractors are verified within minutes after uploading a valid government-issued ID (passport, national ID card, or driver's licence) and a clear selfie. Verification can take up to 48 hours if the document is unclear or additional checks are needed. You'll receive an email from Deel when it's complete.

What if my verification gets rejected?

Common reasons are a blurry photo, an expired document, or a mismatch between the name on your ID and the name on your Deel profile. Re-upload a clear, in-date document with the exact same name. If it still fails, use Deel's in-app chat for case-specific help, then notify payroll@sovrano.ai if it's blocking your start date.

Should I sign up as an individual or as an entity (company)?

Most Sovrano AI contractors sign up as individuals. Choose entity only if you operate as a registered freelance business or LLC and want Deel to invoice that entity instead of you personally. You can switch from individual to entity later from your Deel account settings if your situation changes.
