High-value withdrawals

Withdrawal Issues · Payments & Billing · Updated

If your Sovrano AI earnings accumulate to a large balance, Deel may apply extra verification to withdrawals above certain thresholds. This is a regulatory requirement, not a Sovrano AI policy.

What counts as "high-value"

Thresholds vary by method and country, but Deel typically flags single withdrawals above ~$10,000 USD equivalent for additional review. The flag triggers source-of-funds verification and may delay the withdrawal by 1–3 business days while their compliance team reviews.

How to plan around it

  • If you anticipate a large balance (multi-month savings, bonus payout), schedule the withdrawal a few days before you need the money.
  • Alternatively, split into smaller withdrawals across consecutive days — though note that structuring transfers specifically to avoid reporting thresholds is itself a regulatory red flag. Don't do this. Just take the extra day or two of review.
  • Keep your Deel profile complete and verified. Missing tax forms, incomplete identity verification, or address mismatches all extend the review time.

Frequently asked questions

I have a balance of €15,000 and want to withdraw it all. What should I expect?

Deel will likely run an additional compliance check. You may receive an email requesting source-of-funds documentation. Since the source is Sovrano AI payouts (all visible in your Deel transaction history), this is usually resolved in 1–3 business days. Reply quickly to any requests from Deel.

Does Sovrano AI need to confirm the source of funds?

In most cases no — your Deel transaction history already shows the payouts came from Sovrano AI. If Deel asks for an employer letter or confirmation, contact payroll@sovrano.ai and we'll provide it.

Why is there a threshold at all?

Anti-money-laundering (AML) regulations require payment processors to monitor large transfers. This applies to every legitimate platform — it's not specific to Deel or Sovrano AI.
